Reading

Will has been doing online reading lessons since late fall.  The program is called Headsprout and there are 80 lessons.  He finished his 80th lesson and has really improved his reading.  He was very proud!

Barton Creek Elementary Carnival

Will's elementary school had it's annual carnival.  Both kids look forward to this each year.  It's a lot of fun!

Will's Science Fair Project

Will entered a exhibit in Barton Creek Elementary's science fair.  Will explored some basic electronic circuit concepts and built two "Blinky Bugs" and a small circuit with a switch.  He received two ribbons: a green ribbon for participation and a maroon ribbon for Best in Catagory(Electronics).  He was very proud.

Marathon Kid

Will participated in the local Marathon Kids program.  Over the course of approximately 5 months the kids are to run/walk a marathon.  We worked at it pretty steadily and Will completed his 26.2 miles.  Here he is at the final mile ceremony with his Marathon Kids hat and his medal.  

Daddy Daughter Dance

Katie and Dad went to the Daddy Daughter Dance at Riverbend Church.  There were horse and buggy rides, a balloon pit, dinner, cupcakes, princesses, and dancing.  A fun time was had by all - especially Katie.

Last Week of Summer - Day 2

This is the last week before Will heads back to school. On monday we went to the pool in the morning. Will then had a play date with a friend and Katie went to "camp" at Rolly Pollies.

Today we ventured out to Chuck E Cheese. It's probably their favorite destination right now. Katie still likes all the rides in the little kid section.

She also has an interesting ski ball technique...

Will prefers the video games.
